COURSE OVERVIEW

Falls management, manual handling and use of equipment

AIM

By the end of the training participants will:

Gain an understanding of the overall impact of falls
Understand the types of falls and common causes for falls
Know how to complete a Falls Risk Assessment
Be able to describe strategies that will reduce risk of falls
Understand the Falls Pathway for falls management
Know what to do if someone has fallen
Refresh knowledge of safe manual handling techniques
