Care Quality Commissioner (CQC) data collection
CQC wrote to all registered adult social care providers in April 2020 setting out their approach to data collection during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The letter asked:
- Residential and nursing homes to complete only the NHS Capacity Tracker, as set out in Coronavirus: admission and care of people in care homes
- Homecare, supporting living and extra care providers to complete the ‘Update CQC on the impact of coronavirus’ online form. CQC emails providers every weekday with a unique link to their form.
- Providers should submit their forms once per day. The link will stay the same, so providers can submit information each weekday at a time that’s best for them.
- The small number of providers of both homecare and residential and/or nursing homes to complete both data collections.
