Overview of hot weather over the next 5 days
Briefly very warm for some southeastern parts of England on Friday with afternoon maximum temperatures 25-26C in places, perhaps a very localised 27C. A mild night fo follow on Friday night in these areas, however Low impact thresholds are not anticipated to be breached. During Saturday, unsettled conditions will develop across much of the country, before gradually clearing southwards through Sunday with a much cooler northerly airflow following. The remainder of the period is expected to see generally dry conditions for most parts, although a few showers likely to affect the far southeast, and temperatures rather cool with some chilly nights.
Overview of hot weather over the next 6 to 15 days
Largely dry and settled weather at first, with a greater incidence of overnight and morning fogs than of late, perhaps with some early-season rural frosts. Probably turning more changeable through the period. Temperatures near or slightly below average at first, trending around average into early October. There are no signs of heat heath thresholds being realised.
Overview of hot weather over the next 16 to 30 days
Conditions becoming very uncertain into mid-October, but overall probably changeable with temperatures near or slightly above average. Heat health thresholds are very unlikely to be reached by this stage of the year, and there is currently no sign of anything exceptional occurring.
