Forecast issued by the Met Office on behalf of UKHSA on Monday, 15, September, 2025 at 07:34

Overview of hot weather over the next 5 days

Unsettled, with wet and windy spells interspersed with drier, brighter interludes. Temperatures will be a little either side of average by day, but mild overnight midweek. Despite this, temperatures are not expected to challenge heat health thresholds.

Overview of hot weather over the next 6 to 15 days

Drier and more settled weather most likely developing for a time in late September, with a greater incidence of mainly overnight and morning fogs than of late. Near or below average are most probable at first, perhaps with some early-season rural frosts, before temperatures perhaps trend nearer average towards month-end. There are no signs of heat heath thresholds being realised.

Overview of hot weather over the next 16 to 30 days

Conditions becoming very uncertain by early October but, overall, probably becoming more changeable. Heat health thresholds are very unlikely to be reached by this stage of the year, and there is no currently no sign of anything exceptional occurring.
