Forecast issued by the Met Office on behalf of UKHSA on Monday, 11, August, 2025 at 09:28

Overview of hot weather over the next 5 days

Temperatures continue to climb into the new working week. A humid night, with scattered showers with a risk of thunder in southern and central areas. Temperatures are expected to reach a peak on Tuesday with some uncertainty on the timing of clearance medium cloud from central and northern England. Risk of thunderstorms at times, particularly by mid-week. Hot temperatures slower to subside in southern and eastern England.

Overview of hot weather over the next 6 to 15 days

Dry and mostly fine weather to start but with a more northerly flow allowing temperatures to fall in most places below threshold to start. However, southern England could stay above threshold into the weekend. Settled conditions probably continuing with a chance of above average temperatures towards the later part of this period.

Overview of hot weather over the next 16 to 30 days

Confidence lower during this period. Likely a balance between drier and more changeable interludes. Temperatures probably around average but potential for shorter, warmer spells.
