Overview of hot weather over the next 5 days
View current Weather-Health Alerting situation
Unsettled conditions throughout the period. On Friday, patchy rain turns to scattered showers. On Saturday, rain and showers becoming widespread and likely thundery in places. Drier Sunday and Monday, with sunny spells and the chance of blustery showers. On Tuesday, a band of rain approaches from the west mainly affecting southern UK with showers in the north. Temperatures expected to be well below Alert thresholds.
Overview of hot weather over the next 6 to 15 days
The weather remains unsettled with spells of rain and stronger winds, potentially for all, likely focused across the northwest of the UK. Drier across the south and east where there is also the signal for temperatures to rise above climatological norm. Temperatures here probably reaching a peak around the weekend. During the second week (mid-June), there is an increased chance of high pressure bringing more prolonged dry weather, mostly likely in southern UK. However, temperatures expected to remain below Alert thresholds.
Overview of hot weather over the next 16 to 30 days
Lower confidence through this period. High pressure likely remaining but incursions of more changeable weather possible but are less likely than usual. Temperatures more likely to be above average than below, with a chance of some hot spells.
