Alzheimer’s Society Training Offer

SWL ICB (Ageing Well Team) are funding a limited number of funded places for care home staff to attend dementia training.

Training delivered by: Alzheimer’s Society and SWL ICB Georgia Lauder, Training and Partnerships officer

Proposed Training offer

Up to 15 people per session

Face to face training offer/courses:

• Meaningful Engagement with people living with dementia – full day course (6 hours)
• Supporting people with advanced dementia – half day courses (3 hours)
• End of life care for people with dementia – half day course (3 hours)

CPD certificate will be issued

Online Training offer/modules: 

• Creating a dementia-friendly care environment – learner lead
• Bridging the gap between professional and family carers – learner lead

This can be completed within 30 days.
