As many of you may have seen, the recruitment and treatment of foreign workers in the care sector has recently been receiving attention in the news. (Modern slavery helpline calls surge from care staff – BBC News).

The Department of Health and Social Care has produced a code of practice for the international recruitment of health and social care personnel in England which you should be following when recruiting from overseas.
Ethical Recruiters List | NHS Employers
NHS Employers maintains a list of recruitment organisations, agencies and collaborations that operate in accordance with the code of practice. Social care employers should only be using organisations and agencies who are on this ethical recruiters list.
Although the ethical recruiters list is maintained by NHS Employers, the list should be used by all health and social care organisations engaged in international recruitment, both in the public and independent sectors.
