European Union Settlement Scheme (EUSS) – just 15 days left to apply!
With less than 15 days to go, Leader of the Council, Ruth Dombey, urges EU citizens currently living in Sutton to apply for the EU Settlement Scheme.
If you are a European Union citizen, who was resident in the UK before 31 December 2020, you and your family members (including non-EU citizens) need to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme if you want to continue to live, work and study in the UK after 30 June this year.
Successful applications to the EU Settlement Scheme mean you can continue to be eligible for:
- public services, such as healthcare and schools
- public funds and pensions
- British citizenship, if you want to apply and meet the requirements
June is the final month to apply – the deadline for applications is 30 June 2021.
Anyone who needs advice about eligibility for EU Settled Status or help with the application can get free, confidential, independent and impartial advice through Citizens Advice Sutton.
