DESCRIPTION:What?: Helicobacter Pylori in the LD Population; Dietary management of Kidney Stones \n  \nWhen?: \n22nd July 2022 (Friday) 2-3PM \n  \nHow?: \nVirtual \n  \nWhy? \nTo help care providers/staff understand H Pylori infection which will contribute to identifying the infection sooner and hence treating it promptly. \nH Pylori infection is the most significant cause of gastritis and causes ulcers in the lining of the stomach\, gastric cancer\, and iron deficiency anaemia.   \nTo help care provides/staff offer kidney stone friendly diet to the residents they look after.\nPeople who have chronic urinary tract infection or poor bladder emptying due to neurologic disorders incl LD are at increased risk for developing kidney stones.   \n  \nFor whom?: \nCare staff of LD residential homes/supported living homes/extra care housing. \n  \nBy whom?: \nAlex Larkin (Highly Specialist Dietitian Care Home Support Dietitian)  \nFor any enquiries\, please contact me on 07899 661522 or choonwha.jung@nhs.net. Please feel free to forward this training invite to your colleagues.
