Lets get boosted – Action for Care Home Managers: deadline Thursday 16 December

As the NHS continues to respond to the Level 4 national incident regarding COVID-19, the Omicron variant, (alongside other winter pressures such as flu) additional roving vaccination teams to visit care homes are being mobilised. This will be across all six boroughs in South West London.

The roving teams will provide COVID-19 booster vaccinations and flu vaccinations to all eligible staff and residents.

Below is a link to an online form, which should take no more than 5 to 7 minutes to complete. Please note that you will be asked for numbers for staff and/or residents if you want a roving team to visit (question 6 if you tick yes).

Please remember: if you have staff that are not working on the day the team attends your site, you can use your ICF and Vaccine Funding to pay them.

ALL Care Home managers are encouraged to complete the form and submit it by Thursday 16 December to ensure staff are boosted ASAP.

Should any of your staff members choose to go to one of the vaccination sites for their COVID-19 booster, they do not need to queue. Please ensure that they take a form of ID with them such as a work name badge, letter from their employer or a payslip. Upon arrival at the vaccination centre they should alert the stewards/staff that they are from a care home and ask to be fast tracked for the vaccine.

Based on the latest guidance all eligible people are encouraged to receive the COVID-19 booster vaccination by the end of December 2021.

If any staff would like support with making a booking please contact CareHome.CovidVaccine@swlondon.nhs.uk

Please update Capacity Tracker with the updated numbers of vaccinated staff and/or residents.

Thank you for everything that you and your teams continue to do since the COVID-19 pandemic began to protect yourselves, your loved ones and your residents and to keep everyone safe.

If you have any questions please contact lucy.webber@swlondon.nhs.uk
