Following the initial announcement in the adult social care winter plan of free PPE provision to health and social workers until March 2021, the scheme has been extended until the end of March 2022 to better support this critical stage for vaccination and mass testing programmes.

CQC-registered residential care homes and domiciliary care providers may register for the DHSC PPE portal and providers will have received an invitation to the email address they have used to register with the CQC. The guidance page for the PPE portal has the current order limits for social care providers, which varies depending upon the size of the provider.

The full, updated guidance can be found on the government’s website.
