With over 120 CQC Registered Providers, the team have successfully made payments to Care Homes, Home Care, Supported Living and Extra Care; thank you for your patience and understanding. Further updates on the next payment will be made available on this platform.
We asked Care Home Providers “What percentage of the grant would you spend on infection control measures?” (eight categories). The results shown in the table below suggest, limiting or cohorting staff 24% and ensuring staff who are isolating in line with government guidance receive their normal wages 20%. Please check back in the new year for updates on actual spend (subject to change due to winter pressures and COVID-19), plus reporting on Community Providers.
|Ensuring staff who are isolating in line with government guidance receive their normal wages.||20%|
|Limiting all staff movement between settings unless absolutely necessary, to help reduce the spread of infection.||15%|
|Limiting or cohorting staff to individual groups of residents or floors/wings, including segregation of COVID-19 positive residents.||24%|
|Support active recruitment of additional staff (and volunteers) if they’re needed to enable staff to work in only one care home or to work only with an assigned group of residents or only in specified areas of a care home.||8%|
|Steps to limit the use of public transport by members of staff.||7%|
|Supporting safe visiting in care homes.||13%|
|Ensuring that staff who need to attend work for the purposes of being tested for COVID-19 are paid their usual wages to do so.||6%|
|Providing accommodation for staff who proactively choose to stay separately from their families in order to limit social interaction outside work.||6%|
Please remember to submit returns as failure to do so might result in delays.
As deadlines approach we will send out reminders, but to avoid any disruption to your day, check the calendar for updates.
