Published on 13/10/2020 in Covid-19 | News

Training is underway for anyone delivering care in the London Borough of Sutton. People who have already attended have given very positive feedback and agree that it was a valuable learning experience.

Face to face

2 hour sessions are being held at Sutton Civic offices every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons throughout October, November, December and January and will continue through February if the demand is there. 2 hour slots can be booked between 12pm and 5pm to provide greatest flexibility.

The 2 hr session covers:

  • How does COVID-19 spread?
  • Hand hygiene
  • Wearing the right PPE for the job
  • How to ‘Don’ PPE appropriately
  • How to ‘Doff’ safely
  • Waste management

Candidates will demonstrate the donning and doffing procedures and will have the opportunity to ask questions specific to their practice.

There is some pre-reading required that takes no longer than one hour to complete.
